• Preferences: theme (light/dark) and UI state.
• Analytics (if enabled): aggregated product usage to improve Autopilot UX.

2. Essential vs optional

Essential storage is required to sign in and use connected-site features. Optional analytics are not required for core publishing. You can clear non-essential cookies in your browser; clearing essential cookies will sign you out.
