2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated while you use the product.

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and plan/billing status.
• Website connection data: site URLs, CMS platform, OAuth tokens or encrypted credentials, and publishing preferences.
• Content and research data: prompts, generated articles, crawl/knowledge extracts, opportunities, and activity logs needed to run Autopilot.
• Usage and device data: approximate location from IP, browser type, pages viewed, and product analytics events.
• Support communications you send to us.

3. How we use information

We use personal and site data only to operate and improve AutoRank.

• Create and secure your account (including email verification codes).
• Connect to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, or custom endpoints and publish content you authorize.
• Run research, drafting, scheduling, monitoring, and notifications.
• Process subscriptions, invoices, and abuse prevention.
• Send product, security, and service emails (you can control marketing preferences in Settings).

4. AI processing

To generate research and articles, we send relevant prompts and site context to third-party model and search providers (for example Google Gemini and Exa). We instruct providers not to use your data to train public models where the provider offers that control. Do not submit secrets in article prompts that you do not want processed by those services.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data with processors only as needed to run the service:

• Hosting and database: Vercel and Convex.
• Email delivery: Resend.
• Payments: Paddle (merchant of record for subscriptions).
• CMS platforms you connect (they receive content and credentials you authorize).
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

6. Cookies and similar tech

We use essential cookies/local storage for authentication and session security. Optional analytics cookies, if enabled, help us understand product usage. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Retention

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active. You may delete your account in Settings, after which we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period unless law requires longer retention (for example billing records).

8. Security

We encrypt credentials at rest with an application key, use HTTPS in transit, and restrict admin access. No method of transmission is 100% secure; report issues to hello@autorankseoai.com.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of processing. Email hello@autorankseoai.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

10. Children

AutoRank is built for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
